A golden opportunity for daughters aged 16 to 18 years

Under this scheme, daughters will be taught such modern and vocational skills which can get them better employment in the future. Training will be given like graphics designing, mobile repairing, solar panel installation, drone assembling, CCTV installation and becoming a smartphone technician. Not only this, courses like professional makeup artist will also be a part of the scheme, so that girls will not only become skilled but will also move towards self-reliance.
New confidence with modern skills
Navya Yojana has been brought especially for those girls who are in the age group of 16 to 18 years and who have passed at least 10th class. This is the age when questions arise in front of girls about career, self-reliance and future. Navya Yojana is trying to equip them with those skills which were till now associated only with boys. This is an attempt to break the thinking, which even today sees daughters only in a limited sphere.
Pilot project started in 9 states of the country
On 24 June 2025, this scheme has been started from Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. This is a pilot project, which is currently implemented in 27 districts of 9 states. The special thing is that these districts include those areas which are considered ‘aspirational districts’, that is, those areas where more support is needed socially and economically. In such districts, Navya Yojana can prove to be the beginning of a revolution.
Not only technical training, emphasis on professional preparations too
Navya Yojana is not limited to technical skills only. A special 7-hour training module has also been prepared in it, in which information will be given about communication skills, workplace ethics, economic understanding and important legal rights like POSH and POCSO. Although the application process has not been officially announced yet, soon applications will be invited through the website of the Ministry of Women and Child Development or Ministry of Skill Development or any new portal.
