How many farmers have benefited so far
More than 11 crore farmers have benefited from this scheme so far. As the state governments send the list of eligible farmers, the number of beneficiaries is increasing. Bank account linked to Aadhaar, valid land record and KYC completion – these are the main conditions to join this scheme.
Can every farmer avail the benefit
No, not all farmers are eligible under this scheme. If a farmer is an income tax payer, or a government employee, or has large land, then he cannot take advantage of this scheme. If the installment has not come to a farmer’s account, then he can check his status online by visiting the PM-KISAN portal (pmkisan.gov.in).
